History

Western Suburbs Tennis Club was established in 1978 with only 2 concrete courts. 

The club started a Saturday afternoon fixture competition with 7 teams and a membership of 57.

Today we have a base of 250+ members and offer men's, ladies, mixed and junior fixtures as well as hosting 3 major tournaments each year - JDS, Townsville Open Age and Seniors Tournament. Today the club has 8 tournament standard, fully lit, hardcourts.
